Tatiana Schlossberg, the granddaughter of the 35th U.S. president, succumbed on Tuesday following a November revelation of a uncommon blood cancer diagnosis.

Family and Institution Confirm the Loss

The sad news was shared in a social media post from the Kennedy Presidential Library.

“Our beautiful Tatiana passed away this morning. She will always be in our hearts.”

Understanding the Condition

Within a personal essay this past fall, Schlossberg revealed that she had been found to have AML, a form of leukemia with a rare mutation.

This form of cancer is a malignancy that affects the blood and bone marrow.
